Let our team of certified trainers spend some one on one quality training time with your Pooch!  The dogs get several training sessions throughout the day with breaks for play in between (for dogs that are social). 

 

Our staff of dog trainers will lay the foundations for you to communicate in a positive and clear way with your pup.  Dogs are highly attuned to body language; it's their primary form of communication!  Using force-free training, we will help you and your dog form a closer bond.

Before their stay at Pleasant Pooch, all dogs 16 weeks of age and older must have current Bordetella, Distemper, Canine Influenza and Rabies vaccines.  If you have a puppy between 15-20 weeks old, we require them to be current on Bordetella and at least 3 rounds of shots rounds.  We require all dogs staying with us to receive a Bordetella vaccine every 6 months.

Board & Train Packages

​

For all of our board & train packages owner will be expected to take part in learning how to communicate behaviors with their dog.  You will also be expected to take part in learning how to communicate positively with your dog and will receive training on how to maintain desired behaviors with dog at home.  Training is a two-way street! 

​

After each board & train there is a lesson at pickup which is typically about 45 minutes long and will go over what the dog has learned and how to implement these things into your daily lives.

 

Puppy Preschool: $995​

For puppies under 6 months*
This package includes two 8-day boarding sessions + 2 home lessons.

 

During the first 8-day boarding session your puppy comes to us for 8 days of training when they are under the age of 6 months. They must have at least 3 rounds of shots including a Bordetella.

 

Puppies will be introduced to: 

• Sit

• Down

• Wait/Come (including through thresholds) 

• Stay

• Leave-it

• Redirecting jumping behaviors

• Potty training consultation 

• Managing mouthing behaviors

• Socialization with other dogs & politely meeting new people 

• Introduce the bathtub & blow dryer

Once your dog is 7 months old to a year old, they will return for the second 8-day session. 

 

We will do a follow-up lesson at your home with the family after each 8-day session. You will be expected to take part in learning how to communicate positively with your dog and will receive training on how to maintain desired behaviors with dog at home.  Training is a two-way street!

Primary School: $795

This package includes one 8 day board & train session + 1 home lesson​​​​

• Leave-it with distraction

• Loose-leash walking (phase II)

• Redirecting jumping behaviors

 This package also includes 2 free follow-up private lessons. 

 

Pooch University: $3,000

This package includes two 15 day board & train sessions + 4 home lessons.​​​​

 
In this package we will work on: 

• Sit 

• Down

• Stay with distance and distraction

• Leave-it with distraction

• Wait with distance and distraction

• Intro to heel

• Place

• Loose-leash walking (phase II)

• Start of off leash recall

• Redirecting jumping behaviors

In this package, the dogs will be introduced to more distance, duration, and distraction for each concept.  This package also includes 4 free follow-up private lessons. 



 

Board & Trains such as CGC Prep, Therapy Prep, Outdoor Adventure Prep, Public Manners Prep, Trick Prep, & Service Dog Prep, are available after the completion of one or more of the Board & Trains listed above as well as approval from trainer.
