Our classes are geared towards your pooch having good manners both at home and on the go!  Our positively reinforced training methods teach both you and your dog how to communicate with one another, so that your canine companion will become a good natured citizen both in and out of the home.  



We make it rewarding for your dog to make better choices through our positive and fun approach!



All pets must be up to date on 6 month Bordetella, Distemper, Canine Influenza & Rabies before coming into our facility.

• Regular or Martingale collar (no choke, prong, or e-collars)

Course Descriptions

​Basic/Puppy $160- Please check our Facebook for our upcoming class schedule. 

5 weeks

45min / Week

Class covers basic commands, including:

• "Sit"

• "Down"

• "Watch me"

• "Stay"

• "Wait" & "come"

• "Leave it"

• "Off" (redirecting jumping behaviors)

• Loose-leash walking

We will go at the classes pace and teach as much as possible each lesson. Please bring dog hungry to class, with soft bite size treats with a 4ft leash (no flexi leashes) and regular buckle or Martingale collar. If other training collars are needed they will be suggested by instructor.

Intermediate Class

$160

5 weeks

1 Hr/Week

Class covers, but is not limited to, the following material:

• "Sit," "down," "wait-come," & "stay" with distraction

• "Sit" & "down" at a distance

• "On your bed" (go to your place and stay)

• Introduction to "heel"

• Introduction to "back up"

• Loose-leash walking through a crowd

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep Class

$175

6-8 weeks

1 Hr/Week

Practice and master all the skills needed to get your dog a passing grade on the Canine Good Citizen test, including:

• Accepting a friendly stranger

• Sitting politely for petting, appearance, and grooming (will permit someone to touch body without pulling away)

• Walking on a loose lead

• Walking through a crowd

• Coming when called (recall)

• Reaction to another dog,

• Reaction to distraction

• Supervised separation from handler.

If you are interested in certifying your dog as a therapy animal, the CGC class serves as a great introduction to the concepts your dog will need to master for their therapy dog exam.  This class can be taken multiple times if you need more practice.

Therapy Dog Prep Class

$175

6-8 weeks

1 Hr/Week

Practice and master all the skills needed for your dog to pass a third-party therapy dog evaluation.  The Therapy Dog Prep Class reviews material learned in the CGC course, in addition to the following concepts:

• Handle extreme distraction, wheelchairs, crutches, groups of people, children playing, etc.

• Advanced "leave it" commands

• Reactions to other dogs 

Requirements include passing both basic and intermediate courses, either through Pleasant Pooch or another organization.  It is recommended that your dog be already certified as a Canine Good Citizen, but this is not required.  This class can be taken multiple times if you need more practice.

  

Tricks Class

$125

4 weeks

1 Hr/Week

In this class, you will be learning several different tricks to perform with your dog.  These are a great way to engage your dog mentally.  They can also be fun to show off to friends and family!  ​
